We are Hiring an Artist to Design the IGS T-Shirt

Talk about anything!

So we talked about this back in November, but it's time to get started on hiring an artist to design a T-Shirt/Poster for IndieGameStand. We are looking at creating a really cool shirt that we can not only wear to conventions, but also giveaway to the top contributor of every game sale. Needless to say, we will be ordering quite a few shirts once we finalize the design. We are looking to pay the designer for their work, but will be vetting potential artists here in our forum and via email once you throw your hat in the ring.

Our concept for the shirt:
The concept we've been talking about around the office is to have a sort of war propaganda type image/poster that would go on the back of the shirt that would say something like "Stand up for Indie Games" or "Make a Stand for Indie Games" and then have IndieGameStand wording at the bottom and our logo/web address on the front of the shirt. We are of course open to suggestions and ideas though.

Art Styles we like:

How to Apply:
We would love to have people submit concept sketches to the forum, but at the very least please tell us your interested and give us a link to your portfolio and website.

We look forward to getting submissions and feedback about this T-Shirt in this thread and hope that together with the IGS community we can come up with a killer desgin!

It would be great if you could commission a couple of these talented art houses and have some different designs to see what is popular. Maybe pay on a royalty basis rather than buying it outright? I'm not a big t-shirt guy, but some of the portfolios indicate they could push something out that might change my mind.

I'll throw my hat in the ring.

I've made a few propaganda-like posters for Indie Darling Dwarf Fortress and a series for the boardgame pandemic.

I think all the work from these artists are incredible – I'm glad I don't have to choose an artist, they're all good, it'd be too difficult to choose one!
This T-shirt idea sounds like it's going to be awesome.

Which one do you like the best? I like "Discover New Worlds" - keep in mind of the 2 designs we already have above.

I think "Discover New Worlds" will be a better t-shirt when finished, but I prefer the #1 sketch.

Looks good, but I think the typography still needs a little work.
