First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

So, I've been having trouble for the past year or so getting my game on IGS's Daily Deal, now I know that if it doesn't have a good reception on the forum when Mike asks for feedback, the game can't be featured.
The problem is my game SickBrick has had good feedback as can be seen here:
https://indiegamestand.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=753&hilit=sickbrick&start=120

"Sickbrick would probably do well as well, even though it's an FPS type dealy."
"SickBrick looks interesting. It's apparently quite short, but for PWYW that's fine."
"SickBrick - Looks great. Would buy this for sure."
"SickBrick Uh... sure why not, it seems fun enough."

I've also sold 70 units on IGS Store without any promotion. Don't know if thats a good or bad thing :D

After Mike saw that SickBrick had positive feedback on the forum, he said they'll schedule the game after they've finished with something big (which turned out to be the IGS Store). Then I tried scheduling it myself, but I didn't have desura keys and additional content, so I added that and the IGS guys said they'll contact me back ASAP.

Since then it's been total silence from Mike and the support on IGS.
This is my last try at reaching somebody at IGS. Can you please tell me if the game has been rejected or not so I stop trying? An email reply would be nice instead of silence.

Also not trying to sound like a beggar, but a thousand bucks and the promotion that goes with being featured on the Daily Deal would help a starving Croatian indie dev a lot and would help me get my second game out :D

That's about it.
Cheers!

Well, as one of those 70 purchases... I found the game quite fun. It was pretty easy though, with only the final boss being much of a challenge. Even so, I enjoyed it quite a bit and think it would certainly be worth being in an IGS feature.

Looking forward to your next game.

I also enjoyed this game. Picked it up on sale, and I found it to be a decent indie shooter. Good level design and fun weapons.

How long has your game been on sale? IGS has a 'policy' of not featuring games under $5, and while the regular price of SickBrick is listed at $5, it's been on sale for $1.49 I think every time I've looked at it on the store. You should ask them about that, and see if that's what's disqualifying you. =]

It's been on sale for about a month. The sale will be over exactly tomorrow. The game is normally 4.99$, that's okay I guess?

I guess that IGS should give you a shot.

Misfit -

First off, sorry that we have missed out on your emails or been unresponsive. Your game is very much still in our queue - we are constantly working on scheduling games for our spotlight - it is a difficult process and there are a limited number of deals/spotlights that we can run a year and we have to find the right spot. We do email developers when they're missing something for a potential deal spotlight and when they're actually on the calendar and locked in. It's hard to manage all the deal requests and we do our best to give everyone a chance while also offering the best deals to our customers - this is all part of the reason we made an easily accessible store so that developers like you could get discovered. You're very much still in our queue and have everything setup correctly. We will contact you if/when you have a locked in deal spotlight date.

It looks interesting, at least it's not ANOTHER shoot 'em up or platformer. :|

Yes! Finally a reply from you guys :D ! I already tried on three separate occasions putting in the date of the deal through your form, but never got it locked in , so if you could just put me somewhere when there will be space, that would be grand :)

I particularly enjoyed the vehicle/tank parts of the game. The tanks are way overpowered though. If you ever got around to adding more levels/another campaign or a sequel that would be great.

At first I wanted to make a new episode for the game, but since it never got much sales or exposure, I moved on. Might get back to it one day just for fun.

I'm closing this thread.

We get a ton of emails at IGS and have a small team, if you feel like you are not getting the proper responses that you want, please email me directly at matt@indiegamestand.com and we can resolve any issue that you have.

Mike responded to your query above. Unfortunately, we can not feature every single game that gets submitted.
