We're in the process of adding approved press quotes/snippets and reviews to our game store. If you're a game developer looking for coverage there is a great list over at Pixel Prospector, but this post is specifically for our list of approved websites thus far:

RockPaperShotgun - contact@rockpapershotgun.com
IndieGames.com - Emails Sidebar: johnpolsonfl@gmail.com, michaelrose@indiegames.com
Destructoid.com - tips@destructoid.com
Indiestatik.com - editors@indiestatik.com
Killscreendaily.com - info@killscreendaily.com
Kotaku.com - tips@kotaku.com - http://kotaku.com/whats-a-kotaku-who-wo ... -458637663
IndieGameMag.com - editors@indiegamemag.com
GameZebo.com - editor@gamezebo.com
TruePCgaming.com - admin@truepcgaming.com
Polygon.com - http://www.polygon.com/pages/contact

We're always looking for other great press sites that cover/review indie games. Please let us know if we're missing any that you love.

IndieGamerChick does decent reviews (although usually filled with profanity). Here's their review of Gateways as an example.

Operation Rainfall ought to be included on that list (they're a pretty big and popular video game news/reviews site and also responsible for getting Xenoblade Chronicles and a few other titles to come to the states). http://operationrainfall.com/

Bytten is a pretty great indie review site - http://bytten.com/

It says on their site that they are no longer reviewing games.
We've stopped reviewing games but will keep our old reviews on the site for the time being. We would like to thank every developer who submitted a game or news item, every advertiser, and every visitor who still reads our reviews.
We don't accept new game reviews or press releases so please remove our address from any mailing lists.

That's actually pretty sad to hear, they were pretty cool with their reviews and all. Thanks for letting us know though. Oh, and as an example of a indie title review from Operation Rainfall - http://operationrainfall.com/review-alpha-kimori-episode-one/

So, here's a list of some of the sites that have shown us some love during our (first-ever) press push for 1849:

pocket tactics - http://www.pockettactics.com/ (Chris formerly of IndieStatik is there now)
pocket gamer - www.pocketgamer.co.uk
ggsgamer - www.ggsgamer.com
Twinfinite - www.twinfinite.com

And there were quite a few other, too, but those are among the ones that seemed to "get" the game and write way more than they got on the press release. And there were some in languages that weren't English... The first two are tablet/mobile game sites. Might be nice to add a few of those for games that go cross platform like our?

Good site, but they only cover iOS games, and there is no way for IGS to offer those. That said, there are certainly games which are cross released on both Android and iOS.

Or in my case, where I'm cross releasing on iOS, Windows, and Mac, and the review is actually a review of the Windows PC version. (http://toucharcade.com/2014/03/28/david ... on-to-ios/) Kinda a grey area, I know.

Oh, and maybe GGSgamer.com?

Two Dash Stash

Talked to someone from this site at PAX East. Never heard of them before that, but they seem to have over 11k likes on Facebook so I'm assuming they're popular.

They recently posted about Pixel, so it would be nice to be able to quote from it.

Thank you for this list.

I'm having a heck of a time meeting people from the press.

Never heard of them, but after you linked it I read a ton of their stuff. Seems like a great site. I would like to see this one added.

Also just came across this one, IndieJuice. Seems nice, but their catalog is a bit small.

Another one I'd like to suggest is Corrupted Cartridge, although the only IGS game they've covered so far is Blood of the Werewolf, which isn't in the store.
