Hi everyone.
We are developing an action game with anime art style, trying to bring an easy fun adventure in the sky ruins.
All the stages are going to be built in the sky. You are going to balloon up into the clouds and dash forward.
Explode the path, punch the enemies, break through the walls and deal with all kinds of the traps.

The game is still in progress, and it is worth tracking if you like the atmosphere we've bring out so far.
We hope you enjoy it : )

And the breakable system: ( Youtube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pD3fKn-Ghk )

We are also updating the progress on
Magichnology - Our Home http://magic-nology.com

We will keep updating the progress here if you like this game.
And, of course, it is always exciting to hear your voice : D

Like the look of it to be fair even if I'm sick of girly-girls an all that in
esp. Asian-styled games.

Do let us know when there's a demo or such :P

Good luck with your game!
Seems very promising.

I hope you will keep coming back to IGS, I really want this game to end up in the IGS store.

I'm not usually a fan of the anime style, but this is looking great! Definitely tracking it on IndieDB for now. The breakable system video sold me on it so far, looks really smooth!

I am bringing scene and gui this time.

The gui has been hard work, but we finally came out one that is not to bad ( hope so )

The first editoin:

The last edition:

And the revision history, which took me a long time

Besides the GUI, I am really curious how you think the scene is.
Do you think the scene is in alpha state ( 50% done ) , near done ( 70% done ), or it is complete enough ( 100% )?

Please tell me how you think, that is REALLY important to us.
Thanks!

Personally, I think it's hard to judge without seeing in in-action with any planned features
like enemies and clutter like crates or whatever. But just judging the content of the images I'd say
this would be a playable state of late alpha, perhaps early beta (main assets in place+engine stable
and such).

I'm not terribly fond of the font for the numbers (they seem different sizes e.g) or the edges on any
of the icons and digits in the GUI as it appears blurred and messy to me, but that could be partly lack
of anti-aliasing that seems to be low set or not on in general.

In term of gui i prefer first one. Simple digits looks...cheap, while whitish, light shapes is nicely corresponding with "cloudy" scene at whole. Red digits looks really out of place.
As for qualify it alpha or no...cannot say. Its just one scene. Not without some of misfits btw. For example sky gradient, isnt it should be little more dark at high place? How about add some distant birds?

I guess the scene art is not done well enough ... hmm... maybe the GUI also.
Yeah, and it must get better.
Sky gradient and distant birds are good suggestion, probably going to try that.
We are going to make it better, gonna bring back something better next time.
Just wait and see ;)

While we are working on a beta game-play video, just some screenshot for you.
I feel these screenshots are even better than the game actually is!

Looks great, I really like the skeletons. :)

I have a question about the environment. Will there be more to the world than stone constructions floating in the sky? Any greenery or other textures?

Well, yes, we are working on it.
But actually, this game is kind of out of budget ( and the scope as I expected ), I am thinking seriously to get some funding recently ( struggling :? ).

That's sad news, game development certainly isn't cheap. Sorry to hear you're struggling. Have you considered crowdfunding? Maybe Kickstarter or IndieGogo?

Yes, probably... but really don't want to make this game money involved, gonna bring too much pressure, and once money comes in, things changed.
Anyway, we continue to do our best to finish the project, don't worry ! :D

I just got this gameplay video done! Took me so long.
It is a beta gameplay, so everything in the video is still under development.
I would like to hear you thoughts!

How about adding pillars below that stretch infinitely downwards ?
it is kind of weird that bottom platform is floating like a boss but second store has to be put on pillars build on first one.
maybe even better then pillars would be something to make whole thing "somehow believable" fly (like propel engines / turbines)

another thing that needs improvement is decorations. there is a need for more of them.

i would also make platforms thicker

cat in my avatar is called Wendy. (and it is male, "Wendy" sounds gender-neutral in Czech)

Adding some pillars below sounds like a good idea, although it is impossible to make it infinitely.
I guess it is also important to make things looking physically logical, that should remove the strange feeling.
