The Real Texas is an action adventure game that plays like a mashup of Zelda: Link to the Past and Ultima VI.
Sam, an ordinary Texas rancher, is on holiday in England when he falls into a blue portal and lands in The Strange Texas.

Very nice game!
I already owned it.

I saw some tweets from the developer and from Indiegamestand on Twitter. It's quite likely that we see the game here on IGS. :D

I saw those too, which is amazing since I don't spend any time on Twitter.

I think I tried the demo for this last year at some point. It didn't leave a lasting impression.

That said, I'd give it another go, and it does look like an interesting game now that it's finished.
Sometimes I just sits and thinks, and sometimes I just sits.

Thanks so much - I have been in touch and they seem open to it at some point. I believe they at least have access to our developer portal.

I don't think they ever did reply to my forum post unfortunatly. However, just thought I'd mention though I'm sure most of you noticed, you can get The Real Texas in the Indie Royale Spring Bundle! Buy it!

Yeah, pretty sweet deal. The Real Texas + Knytt Underground is an unbeatable combo for me. They'll probably both get greenlit too.

So hey, I just checked back on the post I made on Kitty Lambda forums. I made a post awhile back, and I never got a response, so I completely forgot about it. Well for whatever reason I checked back today and I actually did get a response from the developer on April 11th, which was awhile back, figured I'd post it here anyways.

Hey Soli! Thanks for the suggestion. I've been getting things ready to launch on Indie Royale which just launched today, but in the future I am planning to put it on IndieGameStand. No set date and it will be spaced out from the Indie Royale bundle at least a little bit since spacing out promos makes the most sense to me :)

IndieGameStand is a great showcase for games, I really like the format which is quite different than a traditional bundle.

So there you have it, sometime in the future. That Indie Royale happened awhile back already, so who knows? I definitely agree that it was a smart move to wait a bit after the bundle. Still would be nice to see it here for those that missed it.

Yeah, i got this game on IR, it was instabuy, and can say its REALLY good. Stye is VERY questionable and game not avoided some weak points, but overall its really cool game.
Defenitevily some Zelda flavor present too...but not that much. One main problem - easy to get stuck.
