Game looks awesome. Anyone who thinks that $20 is too much must have a very low valuation of their own time. If you go by their logic, then they should get paid less every year for their own work because apparently hard work and labors of love not only deserve less money but become less valuable over time.
Technicali, ignore the trolls, they don't understand indie gaming and never will. Thanks for the post.
Questionable point of view. 20$ is small feee for some, but it can be HUGE for others. if peoples want to play but cannot afford - they pirate. Better get smaller payment then nothing at all.
Next. market. There is damn crapload of indie games on market now. smaller ones, bigger ones, simplistic as P3 biotic, impressive as Trine and so on. Considering that average price is ~10$ for FRESH games (15 for well know, 5 for lesser known), 20$ deal looks pretty much like fairytale.
And, third point. Cost of new copies. Its very wrong to compare physical work with digital goods. When you bake one cake you have ONE CAKE. No way to sell two of them. When you have digital good you can technically sell as much as peoples will purchase. No additional costs. Work is done once, can be sold for long time, i hope you see my point.
and, final, game aging. Its very silly to sell game for full price after years from release date. Its aged. Newer games may look better, you game may have bugs with modern OS versions. For example selling 6 years 32bit game in 64bit era can be considered "buggy". Games is not wine. Its usually not get better with years.
Ah yes, postscriptum. If 20$ is ok and there is no need to pay less, for what reason IGS, IndieRoyale, HumbleBundle exists? why they popular then?
