Side scrolling shooter

I'm searching for some great 2D side scrolling shooter games like Contra, Intrusion 2, ...

Any good ideas?

I think Shank 1/2 is more brawler (Double Dragon) than shooter. It might work for you and is certainly worth playing, but if you're hankering for Contra/Metal Slug action - the best indie game out there for that is definitely Intrusion 2.

Thanks for your replys. I already owned Capsized and Shank 1/2. Next game will be definitely Intrusion 2. Hopefully at Indiegamestand . You know what to do...
