Today’s Deal at IndieGameStand: Megabyte Punch
Up next on IndieGameStand is an awesome game currently in alpha that has never before been featured in a bundle. We’re talking about Megabyte Punch from Reptile Games, a unique adventure-platformer-fighting game reminiscient of Smash Brothers where you build your own fighter from the scrap parts of your enemies!

Every creature in Megabyte Punch is a destructable being made of separate parts. Parts have their own powers and bonuses (like gun arms for a shoot ability) and you can attach them to yourself freely. You travel through different environments, search for hidden parts and battle other creatures for theirs. This is the adventure mode. Then there is the fight mode. Here you can fight other players in a destructible arena with the abilities your customized creature gives you.

The game takes place in a computer world filled with creatures called Megac. As a young Megac, you fight to enter the Grand Tournament, the biggest fighting competition there is, to compete for the title of strongest of the world!

Grab this deal while you can and get Punching!

Bonus Content & Game Keys
Paying more than a dollar will get you a Desura key for Megabyte Punch. Vote for Megabyte Punch on Steam Greenlight and help get it on Steam! Remember, if a game ends up on Steam after it’s been featured (p.s. congrats Gnomoria!), the developer will have the option unlocking Steam keys for everyone who payed at least $1 when the game was originally on sale here at IndieGameStand.

Beating the Average Price will unlock MegaByte Punch’s Alpha Original Soundtrack.

Featured Charity: Electronic Frontier Foundation
Developer Reptile Games has selected the Electronic Frontier Foundation to receive 10% of the proceeds from this 96-hour sale.

I have a question, will the bonus soundtrack you get for beating the average be updated in the future when/if the game/music is finished? Or do we only get the Alpha version of the soundtrack?

This game looks cool. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but I've heard good things from others. I do hope if the game gets greenlit on Steam that we'll receive a Steam key.

If the game gets Greenlight - Reptile Games has confirmed that everyone who has bought it will get a Steam key... so vote away!

@Spoderman: We will probably add the final soundtrack as well when the game is finished!

Yes we confirmed we will give away Steam keys when MBP gets Greenlit. Obviously Valve must approve that request, they did it in the past so it shouldn't be a problem with MBP. But first of all we need more votes to get Greenlit! :)

You got my vote (on greenlight). I really liked what I played of the alpha. I finished the adventure mode in the current state the game is in, although I haven't gotten all of the colors lol. If you add the final soundtrack, I'd be very happy ;). The music seems to be decent so far, there just needs to be.. more of it. Gets kind of repetitive, but that's expected seeing as it's in alpha.

thanks for the update! I have already dl the update and am giving it a go tonight (optional full replay). To date, Megabyte Punch stands out as one of the best games. I appreciate your post and hope that other developers are inclined to have the same proactive approach that you have shown.

Did you already check out the latest Update 7? Let me know what you think of the latest additions and changes.

The game file is updated both on IndieGameStand and Desura so it doesn't really matter where you get yours.

Here is a video of me doing rushing the new tournament mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Heszq_AmsLI
It took me a while to record myself winning the tournament!

Here is another video of the new update where you can see the new look of the Electro Caves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnE0tLmuIyg

You can read more about the update on IndieDB here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/megabyte-punch

Enjoy!
