Oniken

Description: Oniken is a 2D platform action indie game that make use of 8-bit graphic style. My friend Pedro Paiva and I are putting a great effort to guarantee that this game feels really like an 8 bit classic. Everything on Oniken, from the character design to the music, is a tribute to the 8-bit action games from the NES era. So if you like old-school games be prepared for Oniken and remember... Oniken is NES hard!

I like it... it really does remind me of NES unlike many pretenders.

Very hard controls, high difficulty. Its have everything BAD from NES era. Looks cool, but 90% will drop this game after 15 minutes

I played the demo before, and it was a lot of fun, I'd definitely buy it, if it would be featured at IGS.

I have to (partly) disagree with this. While it's indeed NES hard, it has tight controls. Unlike many NES games, the jump is fully controllable and manouverable, and also, the game does not drop you back to the beginning of the game after a few dying.

And that remaining 10% is really not just a couple of people, a part of that 10% made the over 1 million sales of Super Meat Boy.

Sorry for harsh words but it`s definitely not my cup of tea- yet another retro style platformer... wonder how many are there already.
