3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it!

On another note, Phr00t confirmed on a reddit thread that he will distribute steam keys to IGS purchasers if/when the game is greenlit.

I noticed that 3089 is also in development (early-alpha). It looks fantastic and I am having a lot of fun playing 3079 (I am a newcomer to the franchise).

I love that this game is doing so well and people are smart enough to look past some of it's graphical quirks.

I glad that nobody telling something like "its minecraft clone", you know. And game looks actually very cool, simple yet beautiful.

Thank you for sharing the sequel! I'm working very hard on it & I hope newcomers (like yourself) and 30x9 veterans will both enjoy it.

I think it should be noted that this game needs Java runtime to run.

Don`t get me wrong but i`ll pass on this one. I`d prefer the alpha access to the 3089 which is still being created/updated :P

Indeed it does. Also note that all that news about Java security problems was with the Java web applet portion, and not the entire runtime itself. Therefore, you can safely install & use Java while disabling the Java web applet (or just letting it run on-demand).

3089 will likely be on IndieGameStand in the future, but not for a few months. You can get alpha access now @ http://3089game.wordpress.com/purchase/

Yeah and i`ll sound cheap but my wallet hurts too much at the moment (too many indie games in alpha stages recently! ;) )
Thanks for the reply/info.

Great news, Phroot, i really looking forward to trying out 3089. Well, still, putting 3059 and 3069 as bonuses was not best idea ever, Vengeance 2 would be better.

Pysiu, its all up to you, but from my point of view you really making mistake, since 3079 is not that "small indie game to play for 1 hour" its really BIG game with tons of goodies. I mean, if there is games to checkout for sure - 3079 is among them.

I actually didn't put those bonuses together... IndieGameStand did. I put together 3079 before the "beat the average" bonus stuff was implemented, so I didn't even know it existed. However, I don't think IndieGameStand did anything wrong & I am glad they put something together, since otherwise no bonus would exist.

Just gave 3079 a try. Doesn't run very well on my laptop. (i5. About a year old or so. Maybe a little more.) This is the first game from Indie Game Stand I'll actually have to borrow my wifes newer computer to run, but the tiny bit I got to play feels really neato. Exploring that starting area reminds me of the starting town in Might and Magic 8. (Even though I know those two games are nothing alike.)

The bonus games aren't on Desura (to my knowledge), so there wouldn't be a way to generate keys for them.

How do you install this game? I have Java but do not see any "setup" file in the game archive anywhere.

Alright so I tried opening the file with both java.exe and javaw.exe. Both times nothing really happened. A command window comes up for a moment and then closes immediately - can't read what it says. Which Java executable should I be using to open the .jar file? There's like 30 of them in the Java folder.
