At the risk of spamming the suggestion board, I'd like to suggest another game: Kentucky Route Zero

Platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux
Developer: Cardboard Computer

Labelled as a 'Realist Adventure Game', this game is a finalist in the 2013 IGF awards in multiple categories, including 'Excellence in Visual Art' and 'Excellence in Narrative'.

I haven't tried it yet, but it's near the top of my list. It's a bit expensive though. =[

yeah I bought all the chapters, really anticipating 2. Chapter 1 was too short in my opinion, I hope they get a tad longer for the price you pay... It was good though, story sucks you in and makes you think. There really aren't any puzzles, but there are different events that you have to explore to see. Enough rambling, I would like to see this on IGS, the fact that it's divvied up into different chapters though... I suppose they could put the first one on here and those that are interested would just have to buy the rest, actually that would be a pretty good idea, to garner interest in the rest of the game.

I haven't done any reading in a while. Not sure why, but here lately I've cast aside my literate past and have been pretty much follwing day-to-dya life, playing video games when I can. But, man... Kentucky Rout Zero renewed that spark. It brought out what I love about diving into a wall of text and associating yourself with the characters. I'm not even sure if it is a game, so much as a piece of interactive literature, but whatever it is, I absolutely love it... I immediately fell in love with the characters and the writing style. Everything was so quaint... perfect. I don't think I moved a muscle through my entire playthrough, aside form the occasional keystroke or mouse movement.

The artstyle is absolutely beautiful, and I legitimately found myself having to pick my jaw off of my chest from just the sheer amazement t the beauty of everything. The score behind the game is perfect and unobtrusive, but is there just enough for me to recognize its beauty.

Now, I'm not one to generally find much amusement from something like this. It's a bit complicated for a simple fella' like meself. A bit too artistic. The motifs and themes would normally go right over my head. And yet, I found myself immediately drawn to the perplexing nature of this game. It hooked me, and it didn't let go....

I look forward to being able to play the next chapters, and seeing my dog, Blue, again. She's a good girl, her.

I saw this the other day, but haven't had time to go through it yet. Looks really neat!
