Followed you on Twitter a day or two ago. Always nice to see a new indie game blogger!
Here are some games I really enjoyed that I'd like to suggest for you:
Sandbox:Tiny and Big: Grandpa's LeftoversThis is probably my favourite game of last year, and one of the most entertaining games I've ever played. You can literally destroy and manipulate the environment itself.
King Arthur's GoldReally fun and polished team-based game. Shares some similarities with Terraria.
Waking MarsTruly amazing sidescrolling exploration game about a scientist trying to uncover the secrets of a cave on Mars. Gameplay revolves around 'planting' creatures in the environments to generate as much life as possible.
MobiloidVery engaging exploration game where you can take apart and rebuild your character to get around the area, but unfortunately, not very polished in some aspects.
MetagolfCharming and colourful '2D golf' game, with more of a focus on platforming and less of a focus on actual golf. Entertaining, but development has been going slowly.
Wake and
Lunnye DevitsyBossBaddie's first two games, and both are absolutely fantastic. If I had to pick one, it would be Wake though, the atmosphere is incredible. Also, both are currently available in the
IndieRoyale Valentine's BundleOther games:The Journey Down: Chapter OneFantastic point-and-click game that any fans of Monkey Island shouldn't pass up. Great art and dialogue.
NEO ScavengerA very detailed and engaging turn-based exploration/survival game. Very difficult, however.
Out There SomewhereProbably my
other favourite game from last year, Out There Somewhere is a sidescrolling puzzle platformer with fantastic art and music. It's short, but what's there is brilliant.
FlotillaMinimalistic turn-based space game. Features crazy dialogue, and events dictated by where you decide to go in your adventure. Much more engaging than it looks at first.
MachinariumIt's been out for a while, but it's still one of my favourite games of all time. Point and click gameplay with some of the best art, storytelling, and music you'll ever find in a game.
DustforceOne of the nicest looking games around, and also one of the most frustrating. Hardcore platformer with a much more fluid movement style than others.
RochardFun physics-based sidescroller with gravity manipulation, and great graphics and dialogue.
Sometimes I just sits and thinks, and sometimes I just sits.
