Well, dont want to blame anyone or to make some PANIC, but dont everybody notice that games lately is a little..."questionable" here? Blueberry Garden, Love+...these games not bad, but they sure is niche games. I noticed, that lately sales barely keeping around ~1000 of item each game, little more or less. I dont see sales progressing at all. I dont know real statistics but it feels like 90% of purchases made by same peoples again and again, some core IGS fan audience.
Definitively, i understand that IGS is not as big as HumbleBundle, so it would be a little hard to bring here "BIG" game like some of appeared on HIB, but it still feels like IGS really lacking promotion. Most of my indie-gaming friends not ever heard about IGS and even most if "indie bundlers" - too.
So, that i can suggest is
1) try to become a little more known. In example there is sites that tracking indie bundles, IGS should get recognised by them too
2) try to attract some a little "bigger" games. I dont have anything agains pure hardcore indie like Love+, not-game-at-all like TRAUMA or even experimental Blueberry Garden but indie is not only platformes and not always hardcore and not always 100% niche. Sounds probably like "please less indie!" but i hope you dont get it wrong.

I think you make some good points. With the exception of a few titles (notably Gimbal and Gnomoria), sales have been rather stagnant. I think IGS is already moving in the right direction with things like their youtube and twitter channel. However, I do think an investment in more marketing (even free, albeit time consuming marketing) would bring new audiences to the site.

Of course, the best way to achieve this is good games and good word of mouth. It is quite the juggling act while promoting true Indie games that are sometimes under the radar, yet trying to appeal to fans of (going to term a new phrase) "AAA-Indie Games".

I don't know what the solution is (the new site design will help a bit), but I'm sure that with persistence IGS will spike and eventually experience consistent growth. The biggest thing to do is to just keep moving forward and the user-base will continue to grow, slowly and then will start spiking. IGS is still very young and the internet loves age. As it gets older, as long as it doesn't change too much, it will gain credibility and Page Rank. Before too long, the search engines will start sending many indie queries in this direction.

Thanks for your suggestions.

We are constantly making new connections and expanding our awareness.

This process is quite hard in this market, but if you were tracking our stats ( which I do ), we have grown ALOT in terms of our user base + social media. These are ALL organic traffic sources. We don't do paid advertising (yet), it's all word of mouth and making connections.

If you want to help, that's what you can do!

Regarding the offered games- i have to agree, at least recently. But there were also great games, like Mobiloid :).

I think we do have an awesome dedicated audience! but I'm not so sure that they are purchasing games every four days. Our site is all about choice and growing an audience over time. Our sales only last 4 days, so we're not going to have huge numbers like Humble Bundle, but if you compare our 4 day sales to the smaller bundle sites that last 1-2 weeks - we are very competitive. That being said, we're coming up on only our 4 month anniversary near the end of this month and are working on a ton of new features and will be at PAX East spreading the word and having some fun.

One additional suggestion - try to release rather less bundled\new games. In example, Alien Hallway - i seen it that many times in different bundles, so i just dont know what to say.
Its not that bad, since it probably first time i seen it on sale outside of Steam, but many if users have it already.

Our February Lineup is looking pretty stellar - just stay tuned - we listen, but everyone is not going to love every game that we put up.

Honestly, I'm happy to rebuy games here if it means I get them DRM-free (and/or on Desura/GOG too sometimes). Only if I don't already have them DRM-free or on Desura/GOG obviously.

I've decided to try to pick up every game I find here on IGS. I really love the site, and have been around since the beginning. I wish I was able to help promote IGS some more, because this site is really fantastic. I'll try to get some attention via my YouTube channel, but I've got a pretty small fanbase.
