When I downloaded it on Desura, it said there was a "virus or unwanted program". I'm not sure what will happen with the regular download. Anyone else have this problem?

Guessing you are using Avira? This has happened to players before: it is a false positive. You should be able to add an exception :) Cheers.

Yup. Worked fine when I used the regular download link, so no worries. :)

Hi vieko,

I bought the game and have played the first few levels, but I'm having problems with the game hanging.

At seemingly random points while playing, the game just freezes for 5 to 30 seconds at a time (with Windows saying it's not responding), then resumes as if nothing happened. While frozen it uses hardly any CPU, compared to around 20% while running normally. This happens on the menu parts as well as during levels, making the game very frustrating to play.

Can you offer some explanation for this, or tell me how to fix it? I'm using a mid-range 64-bit Windows 7 desktop PC and I can send you full details if it would be helpful.

Cheers
kruncher.

Hey Kruncher,

Thanks for the note! Sorry for the unintentional frustration... the rest of the frustration, is entirely intentional :) Anyways, you are suffering from a well know bug that affects a small amount of players. We are working to resolve it an plan to release a fix for it when we launch our first additional game mode (NES mode). In the meantime, I have a build that will get rid of all the freezing for you at the cost of not submitting to leaderboards. Not to worry: if you think you've gotten a leaderboard-worthy score, grab a screenshot at the checkpoint or level clear and I will manually submit it for you.

Please send me a note to support (at) legrudgerugged.com and I'll hook you up!

I'm sorry, misunderstood you. However, the explanation stands: this is a limitation of the wrapper under your platform. You get to use the entire screen but the window won't go away. We are working on an alternative but can't promise much at this moment... I hope this makes sense :) Cheers.

Just asking for curiosity, since you use a wrapper, was the game made in html5 or flash?

Anyway, the game is great, kinda reminds me of Super Meat Boy with the short levels, and easy deaths, I'm glad I bought it! :)

Hey Tazi,

KRUNCH is built on a krunchified version of flixel 2.43 so yes: it is a Flash game. I'm not sure if wrapper is the correct term but that is the first thing that comes to mind :) In essence, this "wrapper" is similar (superior is a better term) to what you would get should you create a projector with Flash Player.

Better check it before buy (cause Disasterpiece is pretty hardcore musician)

Indeed... the music is most excellent. I wish this kind of stuff existed back in my pre-soundcard MIDI days.

So, 24 hrs after buying Krunch I completed it :)
Fun little game, I was bit angry at some parts (eg. l91, took me some time), but in the end I enjoyed it :)
If I can reccomend some features for next patch/dlc/fixy thingamajig

- proper fullscreen with correct aspect ratio, this game really needs it
- some sorts of second quest/new game+, some extra hard levels, or levels based on other platform games, kind of tribute
- level editor :D

Great to hear and thanks for the recommendations! See below:
- we like the distortion (when it happens)... very arcade-y... but an option to maintain aspect would work.
- We are working on two additional game modes:
-- NES Mode (x lives to start, more lives every x krebs collected, warp zones)
-- Hardcore Mode (same levels but harder + additional levels with a couple new surprises)
- Level Editor: this would be... difficult, at least currently.

Cheers

Hey,

Was wondering, if/when this becomes available on Steam through Greenlight, do we get a serial to redeem it? Or do we have to buy it again once it has a Steam release? Thanks.

My game keeps pausing as well. First game on here I had trouble with. Where can I get non leaderboard version to eradicate this bug?
