Quick update on the problems - THEY ARE ALL PAYPAL related - Apparently their IPN isn't reporting transactions back to us in a timely fashion. Keep opening tickets if you have problems, but there have been some folks that got their games after a few hours of waiting so be sure to check your account/wallet before opening a ticket. Worst thing about this problem is that our stats are severely under-reporting the sale.

Why is this happening when Paypal has been working for months and we didn't change any code? Who knows!

F#$K Paypal - looking at the transaction logs they seem to be randomly picking/choosing which transactions are pinging back to us.

Thanks for sorting the issue for me - it's a nuisance that paypal's e-mail receipts don't include transaction IDs for guest payments. I'm not sure if the transaction ID is displayed directly after making the payment, but if so, for anyone else who prefers to make guest payments, keep an eye out for it and save it - it'll save support some hassle.

I played through the first bit last night - it is quite innovative and modern in its approach to point-click adventure. I am enjoying it a lot so far.

I just got some updates from people affected by this paypal issue - one customer had to wait 4 hours for paypal to verify and clear his payment and then it unlocked in his IGS account. It's never been that slow before, but we would appreciate it if you would wait at least 2 hours before submitting a ticket about this. We have no control over paypal's IPN and API but it appears to be backlogged.

You can also use Amazon/Google which are working 100% and instantly.

*Edited to add: I found the email. I actually got a really quick response but Gmail threaded it under the original auto reply so I didn't notice it until it was pointed out. Sorry about that!

So I bought it and submitted a ticket about 4 hours ago when I noticed I didn't get it. It's still not there and the only response I got from support was a (probably automated) 'we'll get back to you' sort of response. I did submit the full text of my Paypal email with time and transaction # and all that.

A couple of people on another forum said they contacted support and got a response almost immediately within a couple of minutes. Should I be worried that I haven't heard anything yet? :?

Paypal is actually having some big issues right now in general (not specific to IGS) - https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Settings/No-activity-showing/m-p/607729

I think Paypal is scrambling to fix the issue(s) on their side, just to let you know it isn't IGS.

Complements to your support team. They're really quick, and got back to me no more than 6 minutes after I opened a ticket even though they're so busy.

I haven't downloaded Cognition yet but it looks good. I don't suppose it's possible to persuade the devs to place the game on Desura? That's such a wonderful system for managing my game collection.

So it looks like Paypal's IPN / API is severely backed up - our most recent paypal transaction in our backend is from 3:44am meaning paypal is running 10+ hours behind. WTF. Also here's another ridiculous chart:

I'm hopeful that paypal will start dumping the transactions into our database, but we're holding off on sending out our newsletter until this is resolved.

Final update (I hope). It looks like as of 1:45pm EST paypal is now hitting our server again with new transactions... transactions have also started popping up from when this problem arose approx 3:10am EST last night. It looks like paypal is clearing these transactions too but it is only through about 3:50am EST, so if you purchased from 4am - 1pm EST please be patient as Paypal's IPN clears through all of this.
