Survivors of Ragnarok

Hello there fellow forumers, I've been watching Survivors of Ragnarok for a while and I'm tempted to buy it but all the negative comments on the Desura page and on the official forums of people just mad because the game doesn't get udpated and they want their money back make me reconsider. Does any of you around here happen to own the game or can give me your opinion about it? Cheers, Z

I bought Survivors of Ragnarok, what must be over a year ago now. It doesn't get updated often, but it does get updated, some just take a long time as its a small group of devs. There was a long break when they were updating the crafting side, and the there was no words at all from devs, and people bought it around then and got angry. Personally I think its too cheap to ask for a refund, they give 66% off because its an alpha, and it is an true alpha, lots of features missing, or not working.

Its an odd game in that the controls are not very intuitive and there isn't a lot of help out there for it, but they are making changes for that and its getting there. I say get it, I don't regret it at all, I think it will be a great game when its over.

Thanks for clearing things up. It's nice to hear an opinion about the game without being from people that are completly mad. From what I looked into the game it seems they are planning on 2 modes. One being the exploration/building kinda mode and another one being an adventure mode based in combat I think. I might give it a try.

Only the building mode is "working" at the moment, and there is no save at the moments
