Hi guys.
I'm working on a farming RPG for a while now. The game is inspired by classics, such as Harvest Moon or Final Fantasy, though is not a shameless copy of those. Game will be released on PC, Mac and also certain mobile devices.

River Town - farming Role Play game with a broad list of features. It is a great toy to express your creativity, but also a powerful game which require a certain level of planning. In River Town you can interact with villagers, take part in various events, populate your farm with plants and animals, cook meals and influence the town's life. In River Town you are the scriptwriter. You decide how you play - and your choices affect the whole town. It is up to you if other villagers will perceive you as a great farmer, kind person, or a selfish son of a... farm.

Maybe the heads are "a bit" too much? But I know big heads are equal to cuteness in these times ;-) Keep on the good work!

Yes, those heads are disgustingly big

when you draw realistically, height of head is aprox. 1/8 of body height
by making it 1/2 you have gone far beyond what is cute imho.

cat in my avatar is called Wendy. (and it is male, "Wendy" sounds gender-neutral in Czech)

Thanks guys for your feedback. Well, the game itself is still in relatively early stage, hence most of the artwork will be changed during the development process. Anyway, I thought pretty much the same thing (and you confirmed my concerns), and will definitely do something about it in appropriate time.

Hey guys.
New update from River Town. I've released a video showing the progress towards Animals System.

Video can be seen at:

... and yes, I've revised the character's shape a bit. :)

River Town has 3 types of weather so far:

- Clear
- Mild rain
- Heavy Rain

Each of these has a different impact on the town's life. During a clear weather, villagers behave normally and sticks to his regular schedule. Mild weather is pretty much the same as the regular one, however, it also waters your fields, which allows you to save some time and spend it on the other way. Heavy rain, on the other hand, is so bad that everyone prefers to stay in rather than to go outside. Player happens to get tired more quickly during the bad weather as well!
