Assassin's Creed 3 comes out today

I preordered this and am looking forward to it - I think Hurricane Sandy means that it probably won't get here today though.

I've a hard time shelling out fifty to sixty dollars on a game these days, especially before many reviews come out. I certainly get interesting AAA eventually, but there are just so many amazing indie titles for a quarter of the price.

I am really curious about how they'll make use of the setting in AC3 though, so I might rent it just to get a little peek.

Yeah I hear you on the $50-$60 for AAA. I tend to get them and resell them on Half/Ebay. Redbox is always good for renting a game for a few days too.

Really pissed at Amazon though - game still hasn't even shipped.

AC games usually offer me 20+ hours of gameplay - so, redbox ends up costing me $20. I would rather buy it and enjoy it on my terms and leisure.
