I'm quite interested after reading Polygon's Review. I've only played Tomb Raider anniversary, but I have both Underworld and Legends to play at some point.
Sometimes I just sits and thinks, and sometimes I just sits.
It is really a great reboot. I love the survival motif, the bow/arrow, and the way they've adapted the gunplay to be more like Uncharted. Definitely worth grabbing.
I have played each earlier parts when they were released. This time i am waiting for more reviews or to see this game on my friend`s pc first since i`ve seen too many over-hyped reboots recently.
i'm not sure... it looks like it has quick-time button press events (not sure if that is what they're called). As long as they didn't resort to that too many times it should be okay. Great graphics, animation and casting.
I also like the pricing ($50) - a PC game should never cost $60 since royalties don't have to be paid to Microsoft or Sony on those releases. I think when I bought the original tomb raider near it's release date that pc games were $30 or $40 and the packaging on that game really set it apart.
Hot damn, I love this game! It's the best looking AAA title I've played with my new gpu, and the game looks incredible. Running on Ultimate with TressFX enabled makes my knees buckle. Not only does the game look absolutely phenomenal (and not just in textures and ambient occlusion, but animations! Yowza!), but it plays really well! I tried it with a pad, and while it was alright, everytime I got into combat I hated it. I felt so innacurate with thumbsticks, but that's all personal. That being said, the game controls beautifully on keyboard and mouse. However, those QTE's feel hella clunky on a keyboard. But yeah, great game!
