So, I've had the game for some time now, but never got around to playing it!

However, here recently I was looking for somethign simple to play while rendering a few videos, and I saw it in my game folder. And then, BAM! I was hooked! The pixel work is very clean and full of charcater, much like the game itself! I feel as if it offeres the perfect level of difficulty, not too hard, not too easy. I've also heard that a sequel is in the works, which is very exciting!

I've found most levels to be simple enough, but have been stuck on the Electric labs here as of late. I'm pulling my hair out on the first room, which makes me feel like an incompetent fool. And frankly, I love when a game evokes that kind of feeling.

TL;DR: Just started playing Escape Goat, and love it. What do you guys, think?

I'm a fan of the game. I had already bought it on XBLIG, but repurchased it on IGS. I enjoy the puzzles, mechanics and audio in the game.

I've not played it, but Soulcaster (by the the same dev) is excellent (and a good PC port too). I've come across some good XBLIG games badly ported but MTB's ones are solid.

I played Escape Goat when it was one of the first games offered on IGS and loved it. The retro pixel art is well done, the chiptune music is catchy and memorable, and despite a somewhat minimalist storyline I found myself enchanted by the charming friendship between a goat and mouse. The controls are tight and overall it is just a fun puzzle platformer that I would recommend without hesitation to anyone who likes the genre.

I finished the main campaign (Prison of Agnus) in several hours but didn't delve much into the advanced campaign (All Intensive Purposes), however my first impression was that the difficulty level of the puzzles was definitely a step up. If you paid more than the average you got another 4 add-on campaigns, although I barely touched those. They also seemed to be of a more advanced difficulty as well. May start playing the advanced stuff soon and see how they are =P

Please vote for Escape Goat on Greenlight if you haven't and spread the word if you don't mind. I voted for it a long time ago (even before it appeared on IGS) and would love to see it get greenlit. I think it is a well-deserving, quality game that definitely has a place on Steam.

I'll have to check it out! If Escape Goat is of any indication to MTB's level of quality, then I imagine I'll enjoy it quite a bit!

yeah! I grabbed it on IGS, but never actually got around to playing it. The pixel art is so clean,. and the controls are so tight. It's one of the more polished puzzle platformers I've seen. everything is just so tight and perfect. It really is amazing. And yeah, I've already voted for it on Greenlight. Hopefully it'll get greenlit before Greenlight gets kicked to the curb. With how good it is, I'd be really disappointed if it didn't make it onto Steam and be opened up to a much bigger audience.
