I know we'll keep seeing more and more of indie platformers. That said, I give props to all the originals (NES, etc...) and big media games like SMB and I don't know if I'd count, but Braid & Limbo (all are must-play). Sort of under the radar though, N+, Cave Story+, Stealth Bastard (stealth platformer) and Chester (first offering from IGS).

P.S. also... Rochard, Vessel and Terraria (yes, it is a platformer).

I wonder what the statistic is for the amount of indies that are platformers... probably 75% of them. There are about 25 or so in my backlog (next up on my backlog is "they bleed pixels").
