New Trailer At the collective!

phpBB [video]

We are coming out of development hibernation and wanted to update you guys on what we’ve been working on! All new concept art has been posted, we tell more about the story and you get to really see the game coming together.
http://www.outland17.com

Outland 17 is a Sci Fi RPG based around the concept of the revolutionary war. You and your fellow colonists are building stations outside of the Earth’s orbit in the hopes of working off your debt to corporate companies. Working conditions and violence lead you to rise up with your fellow men to throw off the shackles of oppression.

  • Tactical cover system for strategic gameplay.
  • Immersive story with more than one ending depending on choices in game.
  • Linear tile combat adds movement strategy to battles.
  • Combat system designed to promote personal styles of gameplay and strategy.
  • Multiple expansive maps that encompass the station of Outland 17.

We’re working on a teaser trailer that will be released soon but we’re sending an early email to our newsletter subscribers, so register to get an early sneak peek! Don’t worry, we don’t spam.

I'm liking your concept art. Will be interested to see how this one progresses. :D

On a side note, your newsletter asks for a zip code; I'm Canadian, our postal codes are different, and mine doesn't work. :(

I'm already tracking it on IndieDB though, so not to worry I suppose.

Hey GnomeSlice,

Our team takes feedback very seriously. Because of your feedback we have opened up the zip code to accept international codes. Also the Zip code should not be a required field.

Thank you for following us on indiedb! We should have more information soon.

New Screenshot!

Fans where saying that the game is a bit to zoomed out, so we made the world a bit smaller so the characters are easier to see. What do you all think?

We got some HUGE news. First off Square Enix has featured us on their page (The Collective).
http://collective.square-enix.com/proje ... of-liberty

Basically this is like greenlight, but if we get enough up votes Square will support us on kickstarter.

Secondly we have posted our new trailer on the site. Check it out. It's the best thing we've put out to date. If you agree leave a comment.

We've made more improvements to our gameplay prototype. Attacking enemies with lethal or critical damage shows a special angle to bring you into the action more.

Kind of hard to form an opinion without seeing it in motion I think. That said, I like the concept, but I think the texture of the moon in the first image looks pretty bland and kind of muddy.

Yeah it's just a first pass, so as we refine the looks we will post video on it and improve the textures. When we are done with it I think everyone will like it.
