For those of you that played Master of Orion back in the day I just saw this Kickstarter and I think you guys should really take a look at it. The game is already available on Desura in the alphafunding section for 8,99€ and it has a demo so you can try before you actually buy it. There's also the official
blog where the dev posts every week or so updating the current status of the game and sometimes about his personal life.

Sounds good for hardcore original 4x players... but, despite hailing from Utah as the developer does - I can't see the appeal - that said, $2000 is a realistic and manageable goal so long as it is not vaporware (it is on Desura after all). So, I am meh about it. Good luck to the dev, I hope the game works out for him. It is a goal I know a lot of 4x players loft for.
