Alright so I tried opening the file with both java.exe and javaw.exe. Both times nothing really happened. A command window comes up for a moment and then closes immediately - can't read what it says. Which Java executable should I be using to open the .jar file? There's like 30 of them in the Java folder.

Hrm.. something is broken then. It could be a corrupted download or a corrupted Java install... I'd try re-downloading the 3079Installer.jar file.. if that doesn't work, uninstall Java & re-install the latest Java 7 Runtime and give it another go..

That seemed to do it. Don't know what the problem was but it works alright now. Thanks.

With Ubuntu I had to check the checkbox "Exectue as Program" in the File Attributions (right click on file -> permissions) and than I executed it with Java and it worked fine.

3079 is officially #10 top sales of all time - I'm a little surprised, but happy for Phr00t. It's very close to beating SpaceChem, MegaByte Punch and maybe could even catch Cognition.
